Google Adsense Ads

4:55 PM
Google announced on the AdSense blog a new "quality effort" they are rolling out. Before you can earn money from ads you place on web sites, you need to first add them to your verified sites section in AdSense and Google has to verify them.

Google said that "before you can show ads on a new site, you now have to add the site to your AdSense account." Google will then take that site "through a verification process which checks that you own the domain or have the ability to modify its content." During this verification process, Google will also review the site for compliance with the AdSense Program policies.

If all is good and all the "checks are completed", your site will be marked as "Ready" and you can start showing ads.

You can verify sites by going to your AdSense account, click sites under settings, click Add site and then enter the URL of your site.

Google said this will have a minimal impact on most AdSense publishers, they wrote:

For the vast majority of AdSense users, the only change will be the new Sites tab. However, for some of you, we may ask for help to find the correct ad code when you add a new site. If we require your help, we’ll reach out through email and notify you when you sign in to AdSense. So don’t forget to make sure we have the correct email address for you and that your email preferences are up to date.

Does Adsense and Adwords Influence SEO?

2:39 PM
I think it's a question that many of us have asked ourselves at some point. The short answer is very simple: a priori no, but in fact yes. The long answer is the one I want to address in this post.

I am aware that I am not the first to discuss this topic but I find it interesting to share my experience in this regard and explain what we have observed working with real projects over the past few years. Let us begin:

Does Adwords Influence SEO?

Not directly, and also I think it would be illegal in half the planet if Google applied organic bonuses for hiring paid traffic. That means that if you hire Adwords it will not improve your positioning directly or automatically.

Indirectly, things change. An SEM (Adwords) campaign is a way to attract traffic and gain prestige or brand recognition. The visits you get could come back in the future and do it at that time with an organic brand search. In this case, you may be improving your user response, which does have a positive effect on SEO. It could also have other positive effects of all kinds, but always indirect. Summarizing:

Adwords does not improve your SEO directly, but you can do it indirectly if your SEM campaign improves the user response or some other SEO aspect.

What it will never do is be harmful (Adsense could, however).

In fact, we can apply this to other forms of advertising or promotion. When a brand is advertised on television or in other media, it usually generates an improvement of its CTR, either because it generates brand searches, or because it is remembered in keyword searches.

As is often the case, Zalando is once again a reference: it is advertised on television, street signs, banners, Adwords, Facebook, etc., and this generates visibility that ends up having a positive impact on SEO.

Does Adsense Influence SEO?

Here the thing changes and the answer may not be what you expect. It is often said that "You can subtract but only if you pass" and that is part of reality but there are more scenarios. Let's see it and start with the one that generates the classic debate:

You abuse and Google penalizes you
If you abuse Adsense and show very aggressive ads Google can penalize you for Adsense and for organic.

That is, you can disable the ads on your page but it could also penalize you at the SEO level. Even sometimes it puts a name (or rather we put it) to the changes of its algorithm in that sense.

One of the best known was Ads Above the Fold (unofficial name) of 2012, where you directly suffered a penalty if the first and almost only thing you saw when entering your page was Adsense (see definition of fold).

The last update that seems to be related to this topic has been named Fred (also unofficially) in honor of a joke that Gary Illyes made in a twit. This update, in addition to dealing with content quality issues, punishes pages where Adsense represents a significant amount of content.

The important thing in my opinion is not the updates with own name, but to know that Google pursues the abusive Adsense and treats it as a sign of poor quality. I think that the fact that every now and then highlights one in particular is just to remind us that you are watching this.

With that data, the decision belongs to each developer, since a more discreet Adsense usually generates less income.

Next scenario:

You abuse and the user penalizes you
There are certain ad configurations that Google does not algorithmically penalize, especially if they are below the fold. But that does not make them pleasant to the user.

If the Adsense is very annoying, a user could "bounce out" of your portal generating negative user response. So:

A very aggressive Adsense can be detrimental to SEO if it generates negative user response.

In this sense Adsense would play a role similar to the design or usability of your page. If the user moves at ease for your page, it is very possible that it ends up generating positive signals that Google can read. If it flees, it will be the opposite.
The opposite case to this, not very frequent, would be the following:

Adsense improves your positioning
Yes, surprising as it may seem, this scenario can occur.

Recall in the first place what I have tried to convey with a good number of posts on this blog: Google does not measure quality, nor user satisfaction, because it can not. What it can measure is something very related but not identical. It can measure signals and try to match them with what should be a reaction of a satisfied user to a quality content. We could say that:

Google tries to measure quality, but can only measure signals.

The set of these signals is what I call user response.

And why do I say all this? Because sometimes a certain Adsense can generate positive signals without this corresponding to the quality of the portal.

When does this happen? When the ads shown are so attractive and correspond to what the user is looking for, they have a very high CTR (Adsense). This causes the bounce rate to go down and for Google to believe that your page has satisfied the user (in fact it is true, but for the Adsense).

In the case of a Micro, when this happens to us, we call it pitch, since we have a very high Adsense CTR and a higher traffic than we deserve. Definitely:

If the Adsense reduces the percentage of bounce of your portal of your organic traffic, it can improve your positioning.

And now to complete:

Adsense does not influence your positioning
It is the most usual case. If you do not abuse or have an especially attractive Adsense, the most common is that it does not have an effect on your positioning.

Conclusion

Adwords can only indirectly influence SEO, as can any other action that generates user response, and only for the better.

Adsense can influence both directly and indirectly, for the better (very unlikely) and for the worse.

AdSense Youtube

1:27 AM
Let's see today a brief post on Google AdSense YouTube to give you an idea of how monetization works on this platform.

The operation of AdSense on YouTube is similar to that of a website, but with a big difference in terms of the performance of the ads: they pay for CPM, and ads are not shown in all the videos.

This is a big disadvantage for small channels, so if you really want to generate good income, you will need thousands of daily reproductions.

And how much does AdSense Youtube pay? Well as you can imagine, quite little. Of course, if you get a channel with half a million subscribers the thing changes, since Google offers special programs to important partners.

Setting up AdSense for YouTube is very simple. Access the configuration of your channel and in the Channel menu, click on earning revenue.

From there you can link your AdSense account with YouTube to show ads in your videos (in which you must check the option "Get income" each time you upload one).

Another option to earn money with YouTube is to enable the payment content option, which only enables you if you meet the following requirements:

That your account is in good condition.
You meet the general criteria of the YouTube Partner Program.
You have verified your account by phone.
Have your AdSense account approved and linked to your YouTube channel.
You own a channel with at least 1000 active subscribers.
Find yourself in the following countries.
The RPM Youtube AdSense has two metrics: CPM based on reproductions and RPM based on impressions, and can reach very different values if you do not have a channel with consolidated visits.

Flippa agrega ingresos verificados de Google Adsense

5:53 AM

Tips to earn more money with Google Adsense

11:27 AM

Google Adsense is one of the best CPC advertising networks in the world. Google AdWords is used by advertisers to advertise their products and services. With strong competition, advertisers never hesitate to spend up to a few dollars per click and this is the reason why publishers love Google Adsense. Although Google Adsense show high-paying ads, we must make some optimizations and adjustments to get the most out of Google ads. Look for the best Google Adsense optimization techniques in this article.

I leave you these tips to follow:

Ad size selection

The selection of ad sizes that we use on our site is one of the most important factors affecting Adsense's revenue. The best performing Adsense ad sizes are 728 x 90, 336 x 280 and 300 x 600 ad sizes. Among these ad sizes, the large rectangle ad unit 336 x 280 will compete with advertising creatives of 336 x 280 and 300 x 250 ad creatives. Therefore, the large 336 x 280 ad size rectangle will generate more revenue than the 300 x 250 ad size. The same applies to the 300 x 600 ad size that competes with 160 x 600 ad units and 120 x 600

It will be better to choose the adaptive block of response announcements instead of 728 x 90 units. The responsive ad responsive block will show high-paying ad creatives in different ad sizes that fit the ad space.

Ads Locations

Placements ads play an important role in the performance of Adsense ads. Publishers should make sure to place ad units in the highest performing areas. I am using Adsense for 1 year and I have done A / B tests with different combinations to find the best performing advertising spaces.

The placement of ads with better performance places the ads below the title of the article. But it is the job of each publisher to find the best ad size to place in that place. Horizontal ad units work very well in a few places. But the big rectangular ads did the best while testing.

Adsense ads have not been working well in the sidebar. Therefore, avoid placing Adsense ads in the sidebar. This is because most of the ads were not relevant to the niche. But, the affiliate or contracted banners works much better in the sidebar.

If possible, place an ad unit inside the article. There are several WordPress plugins available to make the job easier. Finally, place an ad unit at the end of the article. If your blog has good content, visitors will read the content to the end and an ad below the content could be fine.

Link Advert Blocks

There are many claims that text ad units do not work well. But ad units with a text link double revenue. The text link ad unit works well in most site categories, blogs, web marketing and web design, etc.

Ad units with a text link work well only when they are placed between the article. Now, in Google Adsense you have introduced the answer link unit that is said to perform 40% better than the regular link units according to the data collected by the Google Adsense.

The response link units are great on all devices and is displayed as the menu on mobile devices and performs very well compared to the desktop version. Do not hesitate to check the performance of the link ad units on your website.

Ads with Coincident Content

Matched content ads are like native ads that help us increase revenue while helping us lower the bounce rate and increase page views. In addition, the% CTR will remain in the safe zone.

Matching ad units are enabled for the best performing sites linked to the Adsense account. If the matching content ad is enabled, publishers can use it to enjoy the additional benefits mentioned above.

Additional tips

  • Do not delete advertisers or disable personal ads. This will reduce the competition of advertisers.
  • Increase the visibility of the ad. This will increase the advertising contest for the ad space.
  • Do not place more than 3 ad units per page. You can add more on pages with heavy traffic.
  • Try to customize the colors of the ad to determine which color is best for the theme of the site.
  • Take a week or more to try a combination, nothing will change in a day or two.

How and How Much Money Does Google AdSense Pay For Clicks And Impressions?

7:43 PM
Read this post to find out how Google AdSense pays ad clicks and impressions on your blog or website. As bloggers it is convenient to understand the functioning of the monetization system: how much money, forms and dates of payments, etc.

I know that many entrepreneurs in the blogging activity are wondering how Google AdSense pays? And it is logical to think that if we write for our blogs or websites that we have an idea of what is the benefit for our work by monetizing with this online advertising system.

Forms and Amount of Money Paid by AdSense to Sites Showing Your Ads

There are many websites and blogs that are monetized with this advertising system and that do not get good results and that is due to two factors: 1 use keywords that pay very little and 2, are websites with very little traffic and of bad quality.

Google takes into account several factors when paying which is very important to know and with this information to achieve the best results with such advertising. From recommended ad formats, keywords, the number of impressions and unproductive clicks, there is much we need to know about this advertising.

The first thing is that Google pays you a percentage of what it charges its customers and that percentage is: a total of 68% of AdSense for content, and 51% when using the custom search engine, but this can be affected by the registration of unproductive clicks, or rather, those that users give and do not have a conversion.
Advertisers seek that your users perform an action that goes beyond a simple visit, that is: they register, buy something or even a simple one I like in a fanpage and when this task is not achieved, the payments by clicks, can be minors Several webmasters have done the experiment with new pages and see that the same ads pay more in them.

Google AdSense has a record of everything that happens on your website with its advertising and as it gives you such a follow-up you can decide to pay less or more for the clicks obtained on your website. In addition, many ads only pay for impressions, in this case it will depend on how much you are earning with clicks.

AdSense as a Source of Revenue Pays You for Clicks and Ads Impressions

Ads that pay for impressions will pay you revenue based on the value of your website. A cup is established based on what you get on average for the clicks made and only the advertising of the advertiser willing to pay said rate is presented.

Similarly will always be on your blog or website ads that are paying better at that time and that fit your theme. If you choose to work with the most money paying keywords, there is no doubt that the monetary value of visits to your sponsors will increase.

The owner of a blog or any web page, is solely responsible for what you generate with Google AdSense as it has the opportunity to choose the theme for which to base your website and Google also provides free tools to achieve greater profitability.

You Can Earn More According to Your Theme, It Affects the Value of Clicks and Impressions

It is up to you to choose the themes for which you want to write and to determine in this way how much Google AdSense will pay you, it is enough to determine which are those themes that pay better and that fit your website. Within Google AdSense you can see how much you are paying for impressions and how much each click is worth.

A payment system is established that only allows you to charge a minimum of $ 100 and after 30 days of having generated it (they actually pay from the 21st to the 26th of each month, the previous month). The forms of payment vary from one country to another, this way you can charge by means of: a check, a shipment or by bank transfer depending on where you live.

It is important in the application to put all your real data and provide the complete information. This makes it easier for you to approve your account and avoid setbacks with your payments, Google AdSense pays and pays well.

In summary AdSense pays in the following way:

1- 68% of the value of each click in AdSense for content.

2- 51% in AdSense for searches.

3- You are paid for ad impressions (CPM).

4- The minimum amount is 100 dollars.

5- They pay from the 21 to the 26 of each month.

6- Pay by check, transfer or Western Union.

Many will tell you otherwise, but hundreds of thousands of sites all over the Internet world can not be wrong to use this advertising system.

Google AdSense Strategy: How to Charge More With Advertising?

6:14 PM
Last week we received messages from several blog readers asking me for tips to earn more money with Google AdSense advertising and the truth is that we already have many articles on the subject, but today I give you several tips to create your own strategy.

The fundamental thing is to know the functioning of AdSense: as it shows its ads, why it shows them and the value that the different keywords for which we want to position have in the online advertising market.

I will not talk about the generation of traffic to your blog or website, and there is much information in this and other blogs that we have on that subject, but I want to guide you to a strategy with AdSense.

Content-Based Google AdSense Strategy for Your Blog

The content of your blog is the most important part to really make money with Google AdSense, for this reason you will have to create your own strategy of publishing content if you really want to achieve your goals with this advertising. Your articles should take into account several factors:
1- Original and high quality: Google positions you much better with original content, but that does not mean that you can not at any time publish an article from another website. Third-party articles are published as long as the author of your consent and you should always remember to quote the source with a live link to the original article.

2 - That is relevant: we can see many publications on the Internet 100% and have a certain degree of quality, they are the ones that teach a lot, but nobody cares. Publish only things that have public, this public may be small, but if it is a market niche that you can exploit is sure that you can do better than with keywords of much traffic that you can never position well in Google.

3- Position for well-paid keywords: Your strategy to earn a lot of money with Google AdSense advertising should focus on the publication of headlines with the most expensive keywords for advertisers. I invite you to see what are the best paid themes for Google AdSense and see if they serve your website.

4- Optimize your website for advertising: Google's robots scan your website and take into account several factors when displaying ads. AdSense takes into account the following:

a- Name of the web. If it is not a high-value keywords, do not worry and take into account the following points.

b- Holder of your tickets. I recommend you to put the main keyword at the beginning since it also works for a better web positioning.

c- Headings of the entries and sub-headings. I do not know why, but most do not use the H tags, look at the blogger, where the entries are created and use the functions of header, sub-header and secondary header.

In all these places should be keywords of great value, those for which advertisers pay a lot of money as long as their advertising is displayed. You can do a search in the Google AdWords tool to know the value of a keyword.

Strategy Regarding Ad Formats

If I recommend a specific type of format, I would say that the ones I have on the blog work very well for me, but each web is different. Better I leave you several tips on how to use this advertising.
Remember that:

1- The ads that are placed higher pay better. Above the entries and the other in the column as you see in this blog. Also remember that almost nobody sees the ads at the end of an entry.

2- Google AdSense pays you for clicks and impressions. Recommend several of your articles in each entry and you will have more earnings per impressions.

3- A bad strategy is to send clicks on your ads. In the end, Google pays you for them or cancels your account. What many do not know is that when AdSense invalidates many clicks of a website, its value decreases.

4- Also unsuccessful clicks can make you pay less with Google advertising. The advertiser looks for an action: to sell, an affiliation, suspicion or even a liking, if this is not achieved, in the end he will be willing to pay less.

Adsense, the best alternative for web advertising

9:24 AM

Earning money on the Internet has become a real trend in all aspects. There are many people who set up their web pages or blog in order to make a few numbers and to be able, in some way, to generate a series of extras with which to enjoy economic solvency.

However, we must be aware that with Adsense it is not easy to earn coins. People with extensive knowledge in this subject take years to make amounts that are really worthwhile. The niche, the effort you put into doing the web itself and many other things are fundamental factors that you have to know how to manage from the first hour.

Can I work all the themes with Adsense?
A detail that we must take into account when implementing Adsense advertising are the topics that can be worked and those that can not. Not all are feasible and it is important to know those that work best or have a certain guarantee so that we can make the numbers we want. Next, we leave you with some of the prohibited ones:

Adult content

Any page of pornography or that has explicit sex can not be monetized with Adsense. There are many other ways to get benefits with advertising in this field but it is important that there is nothing related to Google so we do not have problems in the future.

False content

The information can not be manipulated. Pouring false content about a person or group of these is a crime and Adsense will know that we are not doing well but we have done this only in order to earn some money and at the time it will be something negative that can play tricks on you.

Dangerous content

Talking about weapons or making them can be directly related to the dangerous content we are referring to. If you have the intention of doing something related to this, it is better that you raise it with other publicity because Google can end up demanding you and losing all possible credibility.

Is there a trick to make money with Adsense?

There are no real tricks to make money with Google advertising. Buying Adsense Account does not imply that you are going to get rich overnight and the person who tells you that he is lying or seeks to benefit from your work in some way. It is important that you are very aware of this and that, in addition, you work so that the earnings take much less time to arrive.

There are yes, thematic with many more visits than others but that does not mean that we are going to make money immediately with the Google advertising we have placed. Having patience and knowing that everything arrives is a way to achieve whatever goal you have set for yourself.

Making money with Adsense is not really a passive income. In general, we must work sometimes much more than in an ordinary trade and we only go to the hours that are part of the day. We must be very capable to understand this, since it is the only way that we can earn independently with our Adsense account knowing that we can always do a little more.

Now you know! If you have been looking for a way to take extra money for a while, Adsense can be a good answer so that little by little you have your financial independence doing something that you really like and that will really be worth it in a future moment. Do we make the bet?

5 Ways To Improve Your Adsense Earnings

6:19 AM

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad.
The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your ads.
Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, this will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top.
Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites.
If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

Tools for Adsense

1:58 PM

If you're just boarding on the AdSense train, and looking to find a quick way to make the profits you've seen all being pulled of all over the Internet, you might be interested in a couple of tools.

These software tools are designed to aid AdSense publishers in getting a better understanding on how traffic flows through their site. Some will help you in understanding which keywords gain you more money and which locations give you the best AdSense payment.

One of the best such tools available is AdSense Gold, which allows you to have a better understanding of which ads and formats actually get more clicks and which are useful or nearly useless. This program works by tracking views and clicks on all the publisher's pages. It even goes as far as offering you the possibility to see which referrer each visitor came in through.

There's a free tool called SynSense, which is more of an AdSense monitoring tool. This sits in the tray and offers actualized AdSense stats as you hover your mouse over its icon. It's a very nice tool for those which like to be informed on how their AdSense is doing at all times of the day.

Google provides you with stats in a csv format on their site. So someone made a tool that can automatically download such files and extract a lot of information from them. The name of this tool is CSV AdStats. It has a large number of features, including the possibility to highly customize reported stats, exporting data and charts to other formats. It's in French but the language can very easily be changed to English.

Of course any tool can only access these stats as often as 15 minutes but the authors are well aware of that fact and none of these tools will get you in trouble with Google because of that. If, however, you're browsing content most of the time, and your tool of choice is the Firefox Internet browser, there's an extension for this program that allows you to view the stats in your status bar.

Again, this software is aware of Google's 15 minute rule and enforces its usage, 15 minutes being the minimum time between updates. The Google AdSense notifier for Firefox can be obtained from http://code.mincus.com/?p=3.

There is also a program called Golden Keywords out there that helps you in getting the best keywords for your site. It's really efficient and very easy to use. It does come with a price tag though, it costs $35.91 and it can be obtained from http://www.regnow.com/softsell/nph-softsell.cgi?item=8616-2

So as you can see, software developers are making more and more programs meant to help you in your quest to maximize your AdSense profits. But before you go out looking for them remember that Google has a few features of its own as well.

It does offer some reports (albeit a bit more limited) and using the "channels" feature is a good way of finding out which ads on your site are really bringing in most of the revenue.

Be on the look out as new tools appear daily and make sure to invest time in your site, as that is the real key in success with AdSense.

You need to have optimized niche website templates for best results. You may find the best adsense templates and blog templates at www.thethemes.cc. They are offering many fresh new templates every month.

Google Adsense - Content or Search?

3:03 PM
When advertising with pay per click Google gives the advertiser two broad options. Advertising in search results, advertising in websites content or indeed many choose to do both. Advertising in search means that results are displayed in Google under searches, and in its distributors search results. Google content advertising applies to those websites who choose to incorporate “Adsense” into their websites. As adsense rapidly expands, it is now viewable on millions of web pages throughout the web. However, many advertisers are shunning this in favor of merely advertising in search results.

There are several reasons for this, and the first is trust. This has been a result of smaller websites, through to adsense empires choosing to embark on Click Fraud. Although this issue occurs in search it is far less dominant. Those who commit Click Fraud on search are those trying to weaken a competitor’s ROI. With Adsense the same applies, along with the website owner trying to increase his revenues using similar tactics.

Another reason why website owners are choosing to market out with content is the motivation of the buyer when he is on a website. Someone who is on a different website, other than the advertisers might be there for entirely different reasons. For example a website discussing the disadvantages of Adsense, would actually return adverts for those selling “Adsense Websites” for example. People may click on it, but they are unlikely to buy after reading a negative review. The other reason could be that the person on the adsense website was actually looking for what is the best color palette to use. The person therefore would not find the advert relevant, but might click on the advert in a care free manner.

Adsense websites are also often rejected by the advertiser because they feel it involves more administration. Checking through websites to see how relevant they are, and editing their bids to ensure they still appear on a page. With some words having a network of over 500 websites, it is surely a tedious and expensive task. Although this is the case, many also find that their Adwords account returns websites, that don’t even appear to be trying to support their keywords. The example which is ripe, are those advertising under legal phrases who appear on adsense websites “terms and conditions” and “privacy policy” pages.

Although many are rejecting content advertising, there are still those who feel it provides a similar ROI to search. A reason for this can be found through in the fact that more and more advertisers are only choosing search. As this occurs the advertiser has less competition so the price of the word reduces. Advertisers are also finding a good ROI from publisher’s websites who decide to actively promote the advertiser’s services within their content. An example of this can be realized from when someone is discussing printing services, and actually directly recommends the advertiser’s services. This is a positive move for both the publisher and the advertiser, and a good way for publishers to move forward. Despite this, publishers still have to remember, to not be too obvious in doing this, or savvy buyers will definitely calculate the publisher’s intention.

Another reason why advertisers are opting for content is to increase their scale, however this can also be done across other search engines. The fact however still exists that those who choose content advertising should choose the Google Adsense network. It is regulated far and above yahoo’s and others equivalents whilst its superior network of publishers means the advertisers will benefit from being able to spread their message through a diverse range of websites.
Despite Adsense being the best PPC content distributor, it certainly doesn’t compare to search for the advertiser. On search the leads are more qualified, more regulated, and less fraudulent. This has seen advertisers consistently choose search over content. Despite this advertiser’s should always test adsense and see if it can provide the ROI they are looking for. Some advertisers say that content provides a better return for their business than search. This varies, however in general search remains King for PPC advertisers.

How to Increase CTR and to Get More AdSense Impressions to Your Site?

6:40 PM

You should first of all make sure you're making use of the AdSense channels. Don't just create 1 channel for all your ads but instead 1 for each ad. By this I mean that if you have a standard layout for all your pages of your site and for example have 3 ads, one below the header, one in the sidebar, and one in the footer, you should create 3 channels and name them appropriately (e.g. "header","sidebar" & "footer").

make a better blending

block the mfa sites

use section targeting

Once you've done that you can start playing around with placement and blending to achieve the best results.

The best way to see which works best is to use A/B testing where you compare 2 variations at the same time. Always remember that ad optimization is an on going trial and error process.

As trichinosis has already mentioned, section targeting would also be a good way to increase your CTR but ONLY if your ads are unrelated to your site content. Be careful when you implement section targeting though as incorrect use can make the relevancy of the ads worse.

How do I get more adsense impressions to my site?

It's all about the content.

And then how you promote it.

Original and unique content will get you good rankings in the Search Engines results as SE's love to index fresh content.

So all you're doing is scraping content from other sites, be it article sites, news articles, wikipedia pages, then you will have less chance of being indexed or ranked well because it is duplicate content.

If you can get indexed then Search Engine traffic is of excellent quality. From personal experience people who come via Google are more likely to click on Adsense ads. Because they've found your page from a deliberate search and they find an ad in context with the content.

Next on the agenda, how do you promote your site?

I'm not going to give any tips on promotion because each site is different. But if all you've done is made a website and update occasionally (even regularly) and do nothing more than that then watch the stats in your Adsense control panel then the site isn't going to grow in traffic.

10 Great things NOT to do with Google AdSense

6:27 PM
There is no question that you can make some good money with Google AdSense, but you’re setting yourself up for disaster if you make any of these Top 10 mistakes!

1. Do not use fake information when opening your Google AdSense account.

Google says that’s a no-no and they will cut your account off and keep all the money you may have earned. Besides, trying to hide your true identity can cause serious problems with the I.R.S. or whoever your tax authority is.

2. Do not hack or modify Google AdSense code other than to change the parameters that Google authorizes you to change.

Any attempt to bypass Google’s built-in algorithms not only poses a danger to the integrity of the network, but it threatens the financial modle that Google operates under. You’re not dealing with some Mom-and-Pop company here, and Google has the legal muscle and deep enough pockets to drag you through every court in the land if you damage their business with your hacking antics.

3. Keep AdSense ads off of your registration, confirmation, and all "thank you" pages.

Don’t ask me why you can’t put your ads there. It makes sense to me that those would be wonderful locations. Google thinks otherwise, however, and doing so is a hanging offense according to their Terms of Service.

4. Do not display AdSense ads and a competitor's ads (like Overture's) on the same page at the same time.

That just makes plain good sense. Google doesn’t demand 100% SITE loyalty from you, but they do insist that their own ads not be cluttered up by offerings from their competitors.

5. Don't "beg for clicks" or provide any incentive for clicking on your Google AdSense ads.

This is a biggie and you see this rule violated all the time. Any of the “get paid to do stuff” sites that put Google ads in the member’s control panels are walking the plank and they don’t even realize it. Even those sites with the polite little messages asking you to “help keep my site running by clicking on our sponsor’s ads” are asking to be cut off if those happen to be Google ads.

6. Never click on the ads running on your own site, even if you are genuinely interested in the product or service and are thinking of buying it!

Nothing screams FRAUD louder than a webmaster running up his or her own click counts by happily clicking on ads fromtheir own site. The Google Gods can track this activity and it won’t be long until you find yourself getting a goodbye note from their fraud team.

7. No misleading labeling

Google is very specific about what text can be placed around their ads. Their Terms of Service state: “Publishers may not label the ads with text other than ‘sponsored links’ or ‘advertisements.’ This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads.”

This is to keep visitors from becoming confused and barking up Google’s tree when they clicked on an ad that led to a porn site instead of the recipe site they were expecting to visit.

8. Avoid keyword spamming and other divisive tricks

You may be tempted to buy one of those “generates thousands of key-word rich pages in seconds” programs that are so popular these days but I’ll tell you this: Their days are numbered. Google is wise to such shenanigans and they will be hot on your trail. Other prohibited gimmicks include:

• ”Sneaky” page redirects that send a visitor off to a different site then they were expecting to visit.

• Multiple sites, domains, pages, etc. which have substantially duplicate content.

• Hidden text or links of any type.

• Excessive outbound links on any page. Google recommends no more than 100. I’d keep it way below that.

• And here is a nugget of wisdom straight from Google’s mouth: “Do not participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web as your website may be affected adversely by those links.

9. Don’t advertise anything on Google’s prohibited items list.

It’s a lot shorter lists than PayPal’s or eBay’s, but it includes a lot of the same stuff like hacking/cracking content, porn, illegal drugs, gambling sites, beer or hard alcohol (I guess wine is OK), weapons, and the other usual stuff.

10. And the 10th dumbest thing NOT to do with Google AdSense is to let the other nine things stop you from running an honest site that’s designed to make the most out of this very profitable opportunity that Google offers!

10 Adsense Tips for Maximum CTR

5:37 PM

1. You should make your Adsense ads look as a part of your web page
They shouldn't look like an Ad. People are negative to advertising. They search the internet for content not ads. Especially Banners have a less of 0,5% response. Their days are over. Imagine if you have an Adsense ad looking like the typical Banner with different colors. It will not be profitable.

2. Text ads are better than image ads
Like before, people are more responsive to text than images. In a way it is considered as a part of the online document and has higher CTR.

3. No Border ads
One of the best tricks is to erase the borders of Adsense ads and make them again having the same color with your website's background.

4. No other advertisements
The first reason is to be legitimate according to Google's Rules and the second more practical reason is that you do not want to distract your visitor's attention and go somewhere else without clicking your Adsense ads.

5. Placement
Even if you have the best Ad, people will not respond if they don't see it instantly. The best place to see the ad is the top of your web page and the next is aside your document's text. Visitors will click it more frequently since it will look like your text.

6. Traffic
Try to use legitimate ways of traffic. Some people use Google Adwords and other Pay per Click search engines. The problem here is to search very carefully for the right niche and keywords in order to make your campaigns profitable. Other ways is link popularity techniques like link exchange directories, software or even mass blog submission techniques. Don't use link farms and classifieds for that, because search engine's algorithms are extremely clever and they will ban your listings.

7. Do not rely on one website
Yes you can make money with one website but try to make as more as possible.

8. Relevant content is King
Articles are one of the best tactics to create huge websites that will be crawled by search engine's robots. Don't forget search engines exist to provide relevant content at first. One excellent resource to automate your article directory procedure is http://www.articleequalizer.com. You can create an article database in minutes which otherwise is time consuming and it would take you a week!

9. Use site maps
Google's site maps visit your site and crawl it much sooner that any other submission process. More information is here: http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps

10. Relevant ads
It's one of the most important factors for Adsense success. If the internet user can't find relevant ad in your page he or she won't click the ad. Would you act differently? So it's critical to create relevant resource for your web page.

How To Avoid Getting Your Adsense Account Terminated?

3:09 PM
Google, being the undisputable leader in search engines from then until now, is placing a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its search engines. Most especially now that the company is public property. In order to keep the shareholders and users of its engines happy, the quality of the returned results are given extreme importance.

For this same reason, doing the wrong things in the Adsense and other forms of advertisements, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated. Nothing like a good action taken to keep wrongdoers from doing the same things over again.

So for those who are thinking of getting a career in Adsense, do not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more earnings. Consider some things first before you actually get involved.

Hidden texts
Filling your advertisement page with texts to small to read, has the same color as the background and using css for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.

Page cloaking
There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.

Multiple submissions
Submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from. For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense as two separate URL?s is the same as inviting trouble and even termination. Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions. Better check first if your domain is submitted already an a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again. If you see it there, then move on. No point contemplating whether to try and submit there again.

Link farms
Be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense to. The search engines know that you cannot control your links in. But you can certainly control what you link to. Link farming has always been a rotten apple in the eyes of search engines, especially Google. That is reason enough to try and avoid them. Having a link higher than 100 on a single page will classify you as a link farm so try and not to make them higher than that.

Page rank for sale
If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites. If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future. It is okay to sell ads or gain the link. But doing it on direct advertisement of your page rank is a way to get on search engines bad side.

Doorways
This is similar to cloaking pages. The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another ?user-friendly? page is a big issue among search engines. There are many seo firms offering this kind of services. Now that you know what they actually are, try to avoid them at all costs.

Multiple domains having the same content
In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domains IP's, registry dates and many others. Having multiple domains having the same exact content is not something you can hide from them. The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.

Many of the above techniques apply to most search engines and is not entirely for Google only. By having a mind set that you are building your Adsense together with your pages for the human users and not for bots, you can be assured of the great things for your ads and sites.

Not to mention avoiding the wrath of the search engines and getting your Adsense and site account terminated altogether.

Ad Placement for Adsense

6:07 AM
Google's Heatmap as given in the link above is a great general guideline for sites with conventional layout - but it is certainly not the ONLY successful strategy. The size of the ads as tested via tracking scripts show that the square/rectangular ads generally outperform banners and skyscrapers.

It's always advisable that your ads (If in fact you want them to be clicked) are what is commonly referred to as "above the fold" meaning the ads are viewable on screen when a visitor first hits your site. Above the fold will differ based on screen size and resolution. Remember the killer big hi res screen you are working on may not show the same area as the 14" notebook screen your visitor may be using.

There is "banner blindness" associated with many of the banner and skyscraper formats.

And yes there is some school of thought that says to "blend" your ads with your text, in this way they appear to be part of the content to many users. While this tactic is bit deceptive in practice it is not currently in voilation of Adsense TOS. It does work... but it is not the only method that works.

Script testing will show that people prefer blue and navy links - it's not reinventing the wheel that you are after - it's clicks. People know BLUE means "link".

I myself do very well on some sites with unconventional colors. I have found grey/silver on black to be very effective for me even on sites where it is totally out of sync with the color scheme of the site. It's an authoritative look - it means business - it means this is serious.

Unfortunately the above are only guidelines. I have many sites and many themes and many niches with which to test. Your best bet is to follow the basic general Google Heatmap guidelines, purchase a good tracking script and begin to test your own site. Find out what works for you.

I have a site that has a double figure click through rate using a 234 pixel banner ad!

The better you get at leading your visitor to the ad either visually or textually... and making sure the ads are truly targeted to the content of your page the more successful you will become.

There is no need to purchase this information as the people selling it are no more authoritative than any other seasoned adsense user - the key again is to test.

Build Up Your Blogs and Watch Your Adsense Cash Grow

6:05 AM
The best thing about blogging is that there are no rules. You can write about anything you want.
A self-publishers dream!

There are some things you can do though to maximize your Google Adsense
profits.

Narrow your subject. Don't just write about shopping. Write about shopping for antique dresser drawer pulls. Write every day. Have a blog at more than one site. If you develop a readership, youre more likely to increase your profits.

Write about something you know or want to know or at the very least care about. If you try to write a great blog based on a hot keyword? yet its something you could care less about, youll likely not stay with it long.

Experiment and see what works for you. You can write based on your own opinion or something factual. You can review a product or service or a movie. Read other peoples blogs and notice how many reads they're getting. Above all, have fun. After all, its free and if youre persistent youll see your Google Adsense dollars adding up.

Choosing The Right Free Blogging Tools
There are many free blogging tools on the market, but loading up your blog with all of the free accessories that you can find isn't necessarily a good idea. While it may be tempting to add a visitor counter, a flashy background, an exciting new font, and a cluster of quirky animated gifs to your blog, this kind of plan can easily backfire. The key to getting the most from free blog tools is being selective.

It is a great idea to learn about all of the kinds of free blogging tools that are available so that you can make an informed decision about what to add to your blog, but try to remember that just because you can have something doesn't mean that you need it. Practice restraint and only choose the options that you think will really be useful. If you can find out how many visitors are reading your blog by checking your traffic statistics, a visitor counter is likely to add
unnecessary clutter to your page.

If your blog is text-based, a flashy background can be more of a distraction than an benefit. Be realistic about assessing what kinds of blog accessories will help you realize your vision and improve your site. Remember that even a blog tool that doesn't cost you any cash may not be a asset in the long run.

How to close AdSense account! The hidden secret of Google!

8:31 AM
The Google AdSense has become a strong money making program for many publishers, but do you know that you could loose AdSense account if someone else closes your account? You are probably wondering how someone else can close your account? It is very easy and not mentioned by Google. If you want to know how that could affect you, read my story below and you will learn everything how to close someone's account or how your account could be closed without any possibility to re-apply to the AdSense program.

Some months ago, I had a website and I was a publisher of the AdSense program. I used the AdSense successfully for more than one year. I received some checks. Before my account was closed, I noticed some unusual click-through rates and the amount of money generated was a little higher than usual. That drew my attention, but I did not understand why. Without any warning about a potential disabling of my account, I received some weeks later an email mentioning the following message.

"It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on
the Google ads on your site(s). We have therefore disabled your Google
AdSense account. Please understand that this step was taken in an
effort to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers."

"Publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not allowed further
participation in AdSense and do not receive any further payment."

Naturally, I was NOT the author of the fraudulent clicks and I did not want to destroy my business. I was aware that if I would generate fraudulent clicks, I could loose my account, but I did not expect that someone could do it in my back.

After receiving this message, I decided to contact the support team and I explained my situation. The support told me that I could appeal of the decision if I was not the author the invalid clicks. So, I wrote a long detailed letter explaining that I was not the author of the invalid clicks and I could not do anything. Google kept its decision and my account has been closed forever. Google AdSense does not have any phone number where you can speak to a true person.

Now here are the key points from my experience to determine if your account could be disabled by Google. You need to have a website with Google AdSense ads on your pages.

-Your statistics show a click-through rate around 30% instead of probably 1-2% (or just something not usual rate).
-Have this for 2 to 4 weeks.

For example, if you determine that a website has 1,000 pages viewed per day, that means you need 300 clicks to make a click-through rate of 30%. You can even generate them from a single page. In Internet Explorer, your hold the shift key to open a link in a new window (that will save you time). So, you do not loose your page with the ads. Just in couple of minutes, you can generate hundreds of clicks. Even a child can do it if you have no time.

I cannot believe that after 10 years of Internet, it is so easy to fraud! Naturally Google puts an end to this, but many webmasters loose their ad's revenues. Sadly, that creates more damages for the honest people, but I guess that is part of the business.

Because Google can monitor the IP address where the clicks come from, clicking on the ads will increase the click-though rate and it tells Google that the ads are mainly clicked by one person from one location. What is dangerous in that is the fact that Google cannot know if it is you or someone else clicking the ads. So, Google thinks that you are trying to make more money illegally and this is considered as fraud. Whatever it is you or someone else, the result is the same and Google disable the publisher account to protect its advertiser.

Now you know how weak a wonderful money program can be. It made some people rich, but some others lost their business or website revenues. You can always turn to other ad programs like AdBright (http://www.adbrite.com/). They even have a phone number! So they must care about the customer or people that help them to make money. Personally, I prefer to stay far from that for the moment and I prefer trying to sell online.

I am aware that this message can be a threat for some people or a malicious technique to hurt your competitors. I hesitated to make this fact public, but Google did not tell me the truth about the danger I risked with their advertising program. I lost my website revenues, which were my main revenues, and I lost my time. I believe that people have the right to know the truth that Google does not mention. Sometimes, it is better to know the truth sooner than later. I would not have opened an AdSense account if would have known this before.

Google Adsense Tips

4:26 AM
I've seen a lot of people saying they get a lot of traffic, but are unable to successful monetize this traffic. I tried and tested all these tips and they have all helped me increase my monthly paycheck from Google.

Beginner Tips
Blend Ads With Layout
Set the ad colors to match the colors of your background, link and text colors. By blending the ads, visitors won't ignore the ads and identify them
as ads. This is the best!

Image Ads
Don't count these out. They tend to get good clickthrough rate (CTR) because they are better at drawing a visitor in. I see to many sites that limit themselves to just text, but try switching the ad unit to show both.

Place Ads Close To The Main Content
Visitors tend to ignore ads on the sidebar and header. By placing an ad near the primary content, visitors will be more inclined to click because they will not ignore the ad. This tip has lead to the greatest increase in money from adsense.

Large Box Ads
The squarish rectangle ads like Medium Rectangle and Large Rectangle tend to have higher eCPM rates. Unlike smaller ads, these have the ability to also show image ads as well. Ads like skyscraper don't conform to content well, and don't receive high eCPM's.

Advanced Tips
Section Targeting
Google allows you to identify the most relevant content to generate ads from of each web page by placing html snippets into the web page.

Channels
To test each ad units effectiveness, create a channel for each ad size, this way you can identify which ad unit generate the most clicks on your site. You will easily be able to tell if the banner ads generate more money than the vertical banner ads.

Firefox Referrals
Google allows you to place Firefox referral ads on your site and you get I believe a $1 for each download. This is pretty easy money. This ad though is relevant to only to IE users because Firefox users already have Firefox.
There is a trick so that only IE users will see this ad...
