Why Affiliate Marketing is the Most Popular Method of Making Money Online

2:45 PM

People have two views of learning affiliate marketing and it depends who you've been listening to. It's either a piece of cake and will make you a million in a fortnight (yea, right) or it's tough, tough, tough, it's saturated, nobody makes any money any more and you'll lose your shirt (boo, hoo).

A simple answer would be to say that the truth lies somewhere between the two, but that's taking the easy way out.

The truth is it depends not on how many people are doing it or how many people are buying stuff or the latest web statistics or the latest super-product. The truth is it depends on you.
More internet millionaires were made this year than ever before. More will be made next year. The internet is not saturated. You haven't missed the opportunity to make money online. It's not rocket science or brain surgery, it's just another way of doing business.

Some people will make nothing. Some will make lots. Business was ever thus, the internet hasn't changed anything...

...except the entry level.

There has never been an easier way to set-up a business than doing it online. Learning affiliate marketing is an extremely low-cost way to start working from home and, eventually, making a living on the internet. If you've got as far as this article you have all the tools and ability you need to make money with affiliate marketing.

You have access to a computer and you can read. That's it. Everything else you can earn along the way, if you're prepared to put in a little effort.

Which is fair enough. Nobody starts out knowing it all and nobody is going to just give you fistfuls of cash. We all learn. If you're prepared to do that, and put some action in afterwards, you'll do fine. Actually you'll do better than fine.

Trawling the major search engines will provide you with huge amounts of affiliate marketing information and affiliate marketing courses. You need to be on your toes, of course. As with anything else online, there's a lot of junk mixed in with the valuable information.

You need to sift through, study, become a student of affiliate marketing. Before making big leaps, take small steps. See what information you can get for free. Invest a few dollars in one or two e-books. Use what I call the Pizza Principle. If you think an e-book can teach you something, and it costs less than the price of a family pizza, you can probably afford it.

A $97 dollar course, however attractive it might look, is not pizza money. You probably want to be making some money online first and pay for that kind of thing out of profits.

One successful entry strategy for learning affiliate marketing is via article writing or a combination of article marketing and blogging. It's cheap and can be extremely effective. People are making six figure incomes using this alone.

Simple SEO That Will Increase Your Online Business Opportunity Search Engine Ranking

12:23 PM

The search engine marketing, SEO, is the strongest grower of all means of online business opportunity marketing in the Internet.

No wonder, when you think the great benefits it offers to every modern website both in the short and long term and especially as to the targeted traffic.

High search engine ranking of your online home business has one hidden benefit. It means that your online business opportunity website has the power to rank high, i.e. it is seen more successful than the others. This is pretty cool for your brand image.

1. See The Mighty Google As Your Best Friend.
Google is a huge potential for online business opportunities, because its algorithm is quite clear and because about two thirds of your online business opportunity site visitors, especially the first time visitors, come through a search engine query.

2. Use Original Content For Your Online Affiliate Programs.

There is two reasons for this. You create content always for your site visitors, because they are the only group, who buy products from your legitimate online business site.

Search engines do not buy anything, but they carry your website in front of the targeted visitors, if you will do the SEO correctly.

Both the search engines and your online income business site visitors evaluate fresh, personal content, which will offer useful material for people in a nice, exciting manner.

3. KISS, Keep It Simple, Stupid.

Your online home business opportunity site can have the most sexiest flash images or banners, but visitors are not after those and the search engine do not evaluate them at all.

They can even be harmful to them. You could see your online business opportunity from a more productive angle.

How useful tools, resources and information you can offer, which will help your visitors with their own online business opportunities. The visual elements can make your site nicer to look at or to lift some of the important elements in front of the visitor.

4. Target Your Message To Your Target Group Only.

When you write content for your online business opportunity website, you actually build a bridge between the business idea of your site and the target group. You have also decided, what you want your site visitor to do during the visit and what kind of the visitor is.

It is productive to cover a narrow niche and to dominate that by building a strong brand image. The narrower your online home business opportunity message is, the better you will do.

The question is about your brand, the trust between you and your target group.

One important thing is to write a very sexy title, including keyphrase, or promise for your online business opportunity website, because that will help visitors to understand your offer in one second.

5. Backlinks Increase Your Page Rank.

The search engines evaluate backlinks very much, beause they see them like votes from other websites and that means that your online business opportunity site is popular and the search engines favor popular sites and increase their search engine rankings. Simple!

A good start to build backlinks is the article writing. By distributing them to huge number of directories, they will bring backlinks and direct site visitors both short and long term. And what is best, this engine works day and night and the traffic is extremely targeted.

Developing Your Link Popularity With Social Bookmarking Submissions

12:03 PM
As every Internet marketer knows, there are two parts to SEO. The first part is easy… you optimise your website content with relevant targeted keywords. However, the second part is a bit more difficult and a lot more time consuming as it involves developing your websites link popularity.

What is link popularity?
Simply defined, link popularity is the development of links from external websites that link to a page on your site. The total number of links recognised by search engines is a major a factor that is used to determine your overall position in the search engine results.

Now, before the days of Web 2.0, link popularity could only be achieved through link exchanges, online advertising or the hope that another webmaster would see value in promoting your site. However, due to the huge growth and popularity of social networking websites, developing your link popularity can be as simple as joining a social bookmarking network.

How does social bookmarking work?

Basically, tags (links) are created via a social book markings submission page. These tags point to the websites you are promoting. If your site is interesting, other members within the network will add them to their own personal list of social book markings. In addition, they may give the tags a high rating, which gives them even more exposure.

How does social bookmarking help improve a websites link popularity?

Every time a website is bookmarked, a one way link is created to your site. Most social bookmarking websites have high page rank scores and are considered to be authority sites in the eyes of the search engines. This results in your bookmarks being indexed very quickly and the relevant back link will be added to your overall link count.

However, for these links to be successful you will need to make sure that your social book markings submissions contain relevant, targeted keywords within the anchor text You should also be careful not to spam. Since you are only given around 100 or so words to describe your site, you should only include your keyword one time. If you do it any more than that, other members within the social bookmarking network may flag your submission. And if this happens too often, you put your account at risk of being suspended or even worse… deleted. So, just avoid the temptation all together.

Social bookmarking offers a cost effective method to improve the link popularity of any website

In conclusion, social bookmarking offers a unique way of improving the link popularity for your website. Of course, it will never take the place of old-fashioned methods, but if you want a quick boost in traffic, it can be highly effective. Plus, unlike other SEO options, social bookmarking doesn't cost a penny to implement. On top of that, it works immediately. You won't have to wait months or even days to see traffic rushing into your website. Basically, after you submit your tags, everything is ready to go.

5 Blog Naming Tips

7:55 AM

Blog naming is a big topic. A lot of people obsess over naming their blog. No doubt about it, blog names are very important. What you call your blog matters.

A great blog name can help with positioning, branding, making you or your company memorable, and much more.

A bad blog name? Well, it can position you poorly, seem unprofessional, be hard to remember, even be offensive to your target market and readers, and perhaps worse, you may hate it.

These five tips should help you choose an appropriate blog name.

1) Give your blog a reasonable name. Avant-garde names are very popular now, for example, Boing Boing and icanhascheezburger are extremely popular blogs, but do you want a "strange" name for your blog long term? Blogs are becoming mainstream, and most blogs, for example professional and business blogs, should have mainstream names.

2) Consider a descriptive name. "Blogging for Business" is a descriptive name; My Blogging for Business blog is quite simply about "blogging for business."

"Schneier on Security" is another descriptive name. It's about security and written by well known security author and thought leader Bruce Schneier. Oh, you hadn't heard of Bruce Schneier before? It doesn't matter as his target audience certainly has.

Ask the Atheist, CorporatePR, and Java Programming Blog are other examples of blogs with descriptive names.

3) Don't use the term "blog" in your blog name

First of all blog isn't the prettiest name. Some readers may be biased against the term blog. Also it will certainly sound anachronistic, old fashioned, someday, as the term blog will go away eventually.

4) Get a domain name to match your blog name if you can. You don't want a URL like myblog.typepad.com or myblog.blogspot.com. For example, Seth Godin, the New York Times best selling author, blogs at sethgodin.typepad.com and when I asked himif there was one thing he could do differently if he started blogging today, he had to think a bit, but he said he probably should have used his own domain and put his blog under sethgodin.com.

One good exception is if you use company domain name or a subdomain for your blog.

5) Your blog doesn't even NEED its own name.

You could just use your own name on the blog. This is a very valid approach when it's you that you're branding and promoting though the blog, as opposed to a product, company, or idea, etc. For example I could start a blog that just said "Ted Demopoulos" in the header, perhaps together with a picture or some graphic.

6) There is no such thing as a "perfect" name for a blog, and if it were perfect today, it probably wouldn't be perfect tomorrow. It's best to pick a great blog name, knowing that there will most likely be compromises in naming your blog, and just get on with it.

7) Relax as you can always change your blog name. Hyper popular blogger Guy Kawasaki has changed his blog name several times with no adverse efforts.

Blog names are important for sure, but don't let choosing a name slow you down. These tips should help you choose a good blog name and get started blogging. You can't have a successful blog unless you start, so just do it.

How to Verify PayPal with VCC

5:07 PM

If you have been making purchases regularly online, you would know how convenient online transactions can be. With a valid credit card, you can buy all kinds of stuff online. From physical goods such as furniture and T-shirts to electronic goods such as e-books or domain names.

To make an online purchase, you need a credit card or an electronic account that holds a positive balance. An example is a Paypal account. Paypal is one of the most popular payment solution available on the Internet. It is used by millions of people worldwide. With an active Paypal account, you can make purchases online just by logging in with your Paypal details. There is no need to enter lengthy credit card numbers or other personal information. That makes online purchases a lot more convenient.

The reason why you don't need a valid credit card is because you would have already entered your credit card information into your Paypal account. Paypal does require you to verify the credit card information that you entered. Today, you can even verify a Paypal account with a virtual credit card (VCC).

A VCC is an electronic version of a credit card. There are no physical cards issued. Each VCC can be used for only one transaction. All unused credits are not refundable. So it's important that all credits are used when making a purchase.

Here is how you can verify Paypal with VCC:

Step 1: Go to the official Paypal website and create an account. Note that there are phishing websites that look almost exactly like the official sites. These sites are built for illegal purposes. So make sure that the website you are visiting is the official one.

Step 2: You will receive an email requiring you to confirm your Paypal account. Check the email account that you used when you sign up for an account, and you should find the email.

Step 3: You may then login to your account. As soon as you login, check that your account is still "Unverified".

Step 4: Click on the "Unverified" link and you will be asked to enter your credit card details. Instead of using a physical credit card, enter your VCC details.

Step 5: Click on "Get Number" at the bottom of the page to retrieve the 4 digit verification code.

Step 6: You will receive an online statement within the next minute or so with the verification code. Use this code to verify your Paypal account.

Step 7: Your account should be verified once you enter the correct verification code. You can check the status from your account. The texts "Verified" should now appear under your name.

You can use a VCC to verify your Paypal account because a VCC has information that is similar to a real credit card. You have a 16 digit credit card number, a 3 digit CVV2/CVC2 Code Number and an expiry date. Note that a VCC expires within 24 hours if unused (for security reasons). So make sure you verify your Paypal account with your VCC before it expires.

5 Ways To Improve Your Adsense Earnings

6:19 AM

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad.
The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your ads.
Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, this will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top.
Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites.
If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

Search Engine Friendly Site

6:18 AM

There is no point in building a website unless there are visitors coming in. A major source of traffic for most sites on the Internet is search engines like Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Altavista and so on. Hence, by designing a search engine friendly site, you will be able to rank easily in search engines and obtain more visitors.

Major search engines use programs called crawlers or robots to index websites to list on their search result pages. They follow links to a page, reads the content of the page and record it in their own database, pulling up the listing as people search for it.

If you want to make your site indexed easily, you should avoid using frames on your website. Frames will only confuse search engine robots and they might even abandon your site because of that. Moreover, frames make it difficult for users to bookmark a specific page on your site without using long, complicated scripts.

Do not present important information in Flash movies or in images. Search engine robots can only read text on your source code so if you present important words in Flash movies and images rather than textual form, your search engine ranking will be affected dramatically.

Use meta tags accordingly on each and every page of your site so that search engine robots know at first glance what that particular page is about and whether or not to index it. By using meta tags, you are making the search engine robot's job easier so they will crawl and index your site more frequently.

Stop using wrong HTML tags to style your page. Use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) instead because they are more effective and efficient. By using CSS, you can eliminate redundant HTML tags and make your pages much lighter and faster to load.

How prevalent is Spam?

6:16 AM

Studies show unsolicited or “junk” e-mail, known as spam, accounts for roughly half of all e-mail messages received. Although once regarded as little more than a nuisance, the prevalence of spam has increased to the point where many users have begun to express a general lack of confidence in the effectiveness of e-mail transmissions, and increased concern over the spread of computer viruses via unsolicited messages.

So what do you do about this?

Her are the top 5 Rules to do to protect from spam.

1. Do what you can to avoid having your email address out on the net.
There are products called “spam spiders” that search the Internet for email addresses to send email to. If you are interested, do a search on “spam spider” and you will be amazed at what you get back.

A couple suggestions for you: a) use form emails, which can hide addresses or also b) use addresses like sales@company.com instead of your full address to help battle the problem. c) there are also programs that encode your email, which encodes your email address on web pages so that while spam spiders find it difficult or impossible to read your email address.

2. Get spam blocking software.
There are many programs out there for this. (go to www.cloudmark.com or www.mailwasher.net for example). You may also buy a professional version. Whatever you do, get the software. It will save you time. The software is not foolproof, but they really do help. You usually have to do some manual set up to block certain types of email.

3. Use the multiple email address approach.
There are a lot of free email addresses to be had. If you must subscribe to newsletters, then have a "back-up" email address. It would be like giving your sell phone number to your best friends and the business number to everyone else.

4. Attachments from people you don't know are BAD, BAD, BAD.
A common problem with spam is that they have attachments and attachments can have viruses. Corporations often have filters that don't let such things pass to you. Personal email is far more "open country" for spamers. General rule of thumb: if you do not know who is sending you something, DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT. Secondly, look for services that offer filtering.

5. Email services now have "bulk-mail" baskets.
If what you use currently does not support this, think about moving to a new vender. The concept is simple. If you know someone, they can send you emails. If you don't know them, put them in the bulk email pile and then "choose" to allow them into your circle. Spam Blocking software has this concept as well, but having extra layers seems critical these days, so it is worth looking into.

Tips on Online Marketing

2:02 PM
Marketing in a traditional sense has always been done by putting an ad either in the newspaper, the radio and the television.

Being in the digital age, efforts done by marketing to get the message across is not that different. It has just become a little more high tech which continues to help drive sales.

Businesses that want to sell something in the market need 2 things. The first is the product to be sold which later on will be distributed. The second is marketing which is the vehicle that is used to carry that message across to the consumer so that people are aware of its existence then it is purchased.

One way of the fastest ways of doing marketing today is building a website. Should one decide to shift and decide to do this, here are some tips one needs to know to get started.

1. The first thing to do is to determine what the person wants to do. The product has to fill a need that the customers want right now. It should provide a solution of some kind that will make that will improve the quality of life either at home or at work.

2. The next is to do the proper research. If the business is done with a group of people or a single proprietorship, it is best to brainstorm for the best domain name for the business. It should be catchy and will easily be remembered by people. Given that there are probably other people who have been in the business longer and that it is possible that the domain name has already been taken, it is best to think of several names in case it can no longer be used.

There are sites in the web that have search engines to look for a specific subject and using popular keywords for ones website will easily help people find it. These sites also allow one to make a site map which can be downloaded in minutes for a small fee.

Another good example is the various email sites and by doing a tie-up with these companies, one can get exposure as well as free service since people who do not have an account can also sign up and be an active member.

3. A product of good quality should be sold at a decent price. Sometimes, the product one makes is already available in the market. To be competitive, one must figure out a way to convince people as to why this product is better than the other leading brands available. What features does it have that the competitor doesn’t? What makes it unique which is not only about the product on hand but the service that this can give as well?

4. Just like having a normal business, one must acquire the right equipment and machines for the job. These could be merchandise that is either physical or electronic and an online ordering system.

To be successful, one should be sure that the goods that a customer will order can be delivered on time. If there are any problems, a customer support staff or system should be ready to cater to that.

5. It takes money to make more money so one should be careful with what needs to be spent. By putting in tight controls in terms of expenditures and keeping track of the current balance while maintaining the same level of quality saves money which can be used for other things.

To avoid falling in this predicament, the first thing one must do is manage the expenses. It is always good to carry a notebook around to log whatever expenses have been made or have a logbook to keep track how much balance is left. That way, a person can stay within a budget on a monthly basis.

6. With everything in place, it is now time to promote the site. One can email to friends about the site and what it offers then this too will also be forwarded and advertised to others. Another is showcasing ones website in E-zines or electronic magazines to get more customer traffic.

Any business big or small must have the right resources available to get the message across to the people and building a web site or a site map takes time. One can do it alone if that person knows how to do it, get professional help or simply start from the basics and learn it from the ground up.

Tools for Adsense

1:58 PM

If you're just boarding on the AdSense train, and looking to find a quick way to make the profits you've seen all being pulled of all over the Internet, you might be interested in a couple of tools.

These software tools are designed to aid AdSense publishers in getting a better understanding on how traffic flows through their site. Some will help you in understanding which keywords gain you more money and which locations give you the best AdSense payment.

One of the best such tools available is AdSense Gold, which allows you to have a better understanding of which ads and formats actually get more clicks and which are useful or nearly useless. This program works by tracking views and clicks on all the publisher's pages. It even goes as far as offering you the possibility to see which referrer each visitor came in through.

There's a free tool called SynSense, which is more of an AdSense monitoring tool. This sits in the tray and offers actualized AdSense stats as you hover your mouse over its icon. It's a very nice tool for those which like to be informed on how their AdSense is doing at all times of the day.

Google provides you with stats in a csv format on their site. So someone made a tool that can automatically download such files and extract a lot of information from them. The name of this tool is CSV AdStats. It has a large number of features, including the possibility to highly customize reported stats, exporting data and charts to other formats. It's in French but the language can very easily be changed to English.

Of course any tool can only access these stats as often as 15 minutes but the authors are well aware of that fact and none of these tools will get you in trouble with Google because of that. If, however, you're browsing content most of the time, and your tool of choice is the Firefox Internet browser, there's an extension for this program that allows you to view the stats in your status bar.

Again, this software is aware of Google's 15 minute rule and enforces its usage, 15 minutes being the minimum time between updates. The Google AdSense notifier for Firefox can be obtained from http://code.mincus.com/?p=3.

There is also a program called Golden Keywords out there that helps you in getting the best keywords for your site. It's really efficient and very easy to use. It does come with a price tag though, it costs $35.91 and it can be obtained from http://www.regnow.com/softsell/nph-softsell.cgi?item=8616-2

So as you can see, software developers are making more and more programs meant to help you in your quest to maximize your AdSense profits. But before you go out looking for them remember that Google has a few features of its own as well.

It does offer some reports (albeit a bit more limited) and using the "channels" feature is a good way of finding out which ads on your site are really bringing in most of the revenue.

Be on the look out as new tools appear daily and make sure to invest time in your site, as that is the real key in success with AdSense.

You need to have optimized niche website templates for best results. You may find the best adsense templates and blog templates at www.thethemes.cc. They are offering many fresh new templates every month.

How to Make Money Blogging

1:25 PM
There are two major types of business models that entrepreneurs use to make money blogging. The first and most common way to turn a blog into a profit making machine is to sell advertising to different companies and brands who want to reach that blog's readers. The second kind of money making blog is one that helps a single brand improve its image by creating positive associations between the blog and the product in the mind of consumers. Both kinds of blogs can make a lot of money, especially if the creator has a keen mind for marketing.

If you are blogging with the goal of selling advertising, there are two basic ways that you can go about recruiting sponsors who want to put ads on your site; you can let someone else do all of the legwork, or you can do the work yourself and keep all of the revenue. Within the first group, many people make money blogging by selling space through Google's AdSense program. The advantages of this program are numerous, as it requires very little effort on the part of the blogger or webmaster to begin raking in profits. However, most people discover that they make less money through this method than they had hoped that their blog would earn.

Selling advertising directly to companies who want to put banner ads or sponsored links on your blog can take quite a bit of time, but it is often fairly lucrative. If you have a lot of contacts in industries that are related to the topic of your blog, you may want to try to go this route.
People who have a strong background in sales and are experienced at pitching proposals can make quite a bit of money by renting blog space to interested companies. The most serious problem with this model is that you often have to build quite a sizable readership before you
can attract advertisers, which can mean that you have to do several months of work before you start to make money blogging.

As blogging becomes a more and more lucrative business, a lot of established companies are considering how they can get into the action. One way that companies are capitalizing on the blog movement is by having blogs that provide a kind of friendly face for their corporation. Often, a company will employ an established blogger to create a weblog designed specifically to appeal to that company's customers and to create positive associations with the brand in
consumers' minds. More than one writer who never even dreamed that he or she could make money blogging has been approached by a company and offered quite a pretty penny for this kind of gig.

Google Adsense - Content or Search?

3:03 PM
When advertising with pay per click Google gives the advertiser two broad options. Advertising in search results, advertising in websites content or indeed many choose to do both. Advertising in search means that results are displayed in Google under searches, and in its distributors search results. Google content advertising applies to those websites who choose to incorporate “Adsense” into their websites. As adsense rapidly expands, it is now viewable on millions of web pages throughout the web. However, many advertisers are shunning this in favor of merely advertising in search results.

There are several reasons for this, and the first is trust. This has been a result of smaller websites, through to adsense empires choosing to embark on Click Fraud. Although this issue occurs in search it is far less dominant. Those who commit Click Fraud on search are those trying to weaken a competitor’s ROI. With Adsense the same applies, along with the website owner trying to increase his revenues using similar tactics.

Another reason why website owners are choosing to market out with content is the motivation of the buyer when he is on a website. Someone who is on a different website, other than the advertisers might be there for entirely different reasons. For example a website discussing the disadvantages of Adsense, would actually return adverts for those selling “Adsense Websites” for example. People may click on it, but they are unlikely to buy after reading a negative review. The other reason could be that the person on the adsense website was actually looking for what is the best color palette to use. The person therefore would not find the advert relevant, but might click on the advert in a care free manner.

Adsense websites are also often rejected by the advertiser because they feel it involves more administration. Checking through websites to see how relevant they are, and editing their bids to ensure they still appear on a page. With some words having a network of over 500 websites, it is surely a tedious and expensive task. Although this is the case, many also find that their Adwords account returns websites, that don’t even appear to be trying to support their keywords. The example which is ripe, are those advertising under legal phrases who appear on adsense websites “terms and conditions” and “privacy policy” pages.

Although many are rejecting content advertising, there are still those who feel it provides a similar ROI to search. A reason for this can be found through in the fact that more and more advertisers are only choosing search. As this occurs the advertiser has less competition so the price of the word reduces. Advertisers are also finding a good ROI from publisher’s websites who decide to actively promote the advertiser’s services within their content. An example of this can be realized from when someone is discussing printing services, and actually directly recommends the advertiser’s services. This is a positive move for both the publisher and the advertiser, and a good way for publishers to move forward. Despite this, publishers still have to remember, to not be too obvious in doing this, or savvy buyers will definitely calculate the publisher’s intention.

Another reason why advertisers are opting for content is to increase their scale, however this can also be done across other search engines. The fact however still exists that those who choose content advertising should choose the Google Adsense network. It is regulated far and above yahoo’s and others equivalents whilst its superior network of publishers means the advertisers will benefit from being able to spread their message through a diverse range of websites.
Despite Adsense being the best PPC content distributor, it certainly doesn’t compare to search for the advertiser. On search the leads are more qualified, more regulated, and less fraudulent. This has seen advertisers consistently choose search over content. Despite this advertiser’s should always test adsense and see if it can provide the ROI they are looking for. Some advertisers say that content provides a better return for their business than search. This varies, however in general search remains King for PPC advertisers.

How to fail in MLM marketing

4:09 PM
A few problems that some new MLM marketing people have:

1. No upline support

Once a person joins a new MLM marketing program, he or she is vulnerable and needs a lot of help from something or someone.

In many cases, the uplines are not actively helping them. This happens a lot when the uplines are simply sponsoring as many people as they can with no regard to what happens to them after they get sponsored.

In most standard MLM marketing programs, it is important that the new person gets immediate assistance from a local person, or tools that you have. Otherwise their chances for survival are very slim.

2. New MLM marketers cannot sell

This is probably the major reason most people do not make it MLM marketing. By using standard MLM techniques, you have got to sell and learn how to speak at opportunity meetings and the like.

3. MLM'er cannot generate good leads

Next to the selling problem, this has to be the next biggest reason most people fail in MLM marketing.

Here is a picture of what normally happens. The new person has just signed up in an exciting MLM program. He is taught by the manuals, meetings and so forth, how he should "share" his product with his friends, neighbors and relatives.

Normally, he is not comfortable with this, and if he is typical, he will have many sleepless, tossing and turning nights. He just doesn't want to "impose" on his friends! He would feel a lot more comfortable just presenting his opportunity to strangers.

4. No true duplicative system

If the MLM marketing company must be promoted through expensive methods, this is not feasible.
Learning how to sell, or to speak and conduct an opportunity meeting is just not duplicative. Only a few people can do this. Here again, is a very important reason a lot of would be MLM'ers die on the vine.

5. Selling by mail using standard MLM techniques

Traditional way to marketing MLM is to spend all spare time to call around and travel around to get prospects. A lot of people already have full time job, it is hard to find extra time to travel and make phone calls. This is why these MLM marketers cannot keep their program going.

6. The marketer is not sure about the MLM marketing company or service

Often a person will sign up in a MLM marketing program in a "fit of excitement." After the dust clears, he comes down to earth and reality slowly sets in.

Pick an established and financially sound MLM company that is at least two years old with unquestionable products or services. That way, you can feel good about the company and products that you are promoting. There is nothing quite like being able to "tell the complete truth" to your prospective customers.

7. They do not stick with it long enough

Starting any company takes time, and this is true with an MLM marketing program as well.
By the time you study the program, write and receive literature: study this and sign up; get the literature, etc. a lot of time has been spent. And then you have to generate your leads and so on.

It will take several months before you can expect much of anything to happen to your MLM marketing. You should set in your mind that you are going to stick with this for at least sometime. That just makes good business sense.

Cash and Pay-per-click Affiliate Programs

3:57 PM
Millions are paying to get a ride on the Information Super Highway everyday. Now, it is widely known that the Internet is an accessible resource of many income-generating activities. Whether you belong to a private sales company or you are just interested in internet marketing, PPC affiliate programs can be a powerful venue to make money from the Internet. A partnership with an affiliate merchant is a win-win situation for the merchant and the affiliate: sales are soaring because of exposure and traffic while the affiliate is earning good cash.

To make things much simpler: the affiliate merchant provides a strip of advertisement and pays you when someone clicks on the ad’s link. You can get a commission of $0.10 to $0.30 for every click, but it sometimes it can go higher depending on your merchant affiliate. Sometimes, merchants require a quota ($1.4 for every 1000 clicks). Plus, you can get discounts from your merchant affiliates if you happen to like their products too. You can just kick back and relax while your website is generating cash. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

What is PCC Affiliate Program?

PPC means pay-per-click, wherein you get in partnership with an affiliate company that literally pays you for every click. There are actually two types of PCC affiliate programs – those who pay a commission based on the number of clicks and the other based on the sales. The pay-per-click scheme is much more popular than pay-per-lead because the affiliate gets paid by just clicking the ad, regardless of whether the visitor buys from the affiliate merchant or not. Plus the chances of a visitor purchasing something from the affiliate merchant are not really that high.

In choosing an affiliate program, read the fine print carefully – some pay-per-click programs get the ratio of the number of people who went to your site and the actual people who clicked on the ad. If you have a heavily targeted website, this can hurt your earnings.

How do I start?

Of course, you need to have a website. Depending on your target audience, choose the best affiliate merchant that is most related to your topic. For example, your website is about Carpentry then you can search for affiliate programs that sell tools used in carpentry.

However, if you don’t have a website, that’s not a problem. You can put up a content site about absolutely anything under the sun like ‘Taking Care of Dogs’ or ‘Decorating your own Home.’ But wait, its not over yet. We are faced by a dilemma – on how to increase traffic! You first need to get internet surfers to see your website, then the ad.

How do I increase my traffic?

First, design your website in such a way that it will attract internet users. A user-friendly site is always recommended so that the customers will know which one to click. Take into consideration the look and feel of the advertisement. If it doesn’t look professional, most likely, users will just ignore it. Place the ad on a strategic location – one where users can see it clearly. Visibility of the ad is always important.

Another way is to post a link to your website in forums, web communities, ezine articles or bulletin boards. However, this method requires a lot of effort – that defeats your purpose of getting easy money in the first place! The key is to do something once and forget about it. It’s like putting your business on autopilot. To maintain you pay-per-click business, be sure to track down site activity, so you are updated on how much money you are making.

Can I make more money?

If you think you can go to the next level, you can try a two-tier affiliate program. This gives you the power to recruit affiliates. Other than the money you get from your website’s clicks, you will also get a percentage of what your affiliate generates. Some companies give 30% to a soaring 50% commission on all referral sales.

Remember, you should be able to manage and monitor your affiliate program. If you can recruit more affiliates, then you can get paid more without even moving a finger! Choose affiliates that can most likely attract more internet users and bring more traffic. You just have to know the right people.

How to Increase CTR and to Get More AdSense Impressions to Your Site?

6:40 PM

You should first of all make sure you're making use of the AdSense channels. Don't just create 1 channel for all your ads but instead 1 for each ad. By this I mean that if you have a standard layout for all your pages of your site and for example have 3 ads, one below the header, one in the sidebar, and one in the footer, you should create 3 channels and name them appropriately (e.g. "header","sidebar" & "footer").

make a better blending

block the mfa sites

use section targeting

Once you've done that you can start playing around with placement and blending to achieve the best results.

The best way to see which works best is to use A/B testing where you compare 2 variations at the same time. Always remember that ad optimization is an on going trial and error process.

As trichinosis has already mentioned, section targeting would also be a good way to increase your CTR but ONLY if your ads are unrelated to your site content. Be careful when you implement section targeting though as incorrect use can make the relevancy of the ads worse.

How do I get more adsense impressions to my site?

It's all about the content.

And then how you promote it.

Original and unique content will get you good rankings in the Search Engines results as SE's love to index fresh content.

So all you're doing is scraping content from other sites, be it article sites, news articles, wikipedia pages, then you will have less chance of being indexed or ranked well because it is duplicate content.

If you can get indexed then Search Engine traffic is of excellent quality. From personal experience people who come via Google are more likely to click on Adsense ads. Because they've found your page from a deliberate search and they find an ad in context with the content.

Next on the agenda, how do you promote your site?

I'm not going to give any tips on promotion because each site is different. But if all you've done is made a website and update occasionally (even regularly) and do nothing more than that then watch the stats in your Adsense control panel then the site isn't going to grow in traffic.

10 Great things NOT to do with Google AdSense

6:27 PM
There is no question that you can make some good money with Google AdSense, but you’re setting yourself up for disaster if you make any of these Top 10 mistakes!

1. Do not use fake information when opening your Google AdSense account.

Google says that’s a no-no and they will cut your account off and keep all the money you may have earned. Besides, trying to hide your true identity can cause serious problems with the I.R.S. or whoever your tax authority is.

2. Do not hack or modify Google AdSense code other than to change the parameters that Google authorizes you to change.

Any attempt to bypass Google’s built-in algorithms not only poses a danger to the integrity of the network, but it threatens the financial modle that Google operates under. You’re not dealing with some Mom-and-Pop company here, and Google has the legal muscle and deep enough pockets to drag you through every court in the land if you damage their business with your hacking antics.

3. Keep AdSense ads off of your registration, confirmation, and all "thank you" pages.

Don’t ask me why you can’t put your ads there. It makes sense to me that those would be wonderful locations. Google thinks otherwise, however, and doing so is a hanging offense according to their Terms of Service.

4. Do not display AdSense ads and a competitor's ads (like Overture's) on the same page at the same time.

That just makes plain good sense. Google doesn’t demand 100% SITE loyalty from you, but they do insist that their own ads not be cluttered up by offerings from their competitors.

5. Don't "beg for clicks" or provide any incentive for clicking on your Google AdSense ads.

This is a biggie and you see this rule violated all the time. Any of the “get paid to do stuff” sites that put Google ads in the member’s control panels are walking the plank and they don’t even realize it. Even those sites with the polite little messages asking you to “help keep my site running by clicking on our sponsor’s ads” are asking to be cut off if those happen to be Google ads.

6. Never click on the ads running on your own site, even if you are genuinely interested in the product or service and are thinking of buying it!

Nothing screams FRAUD louder than a webmaster running up his or her own click counts by happily clicking on ads fromtheir own site. The Google Gods can track this activity and it won’t be long until you find yourself getting a goodbye note from their fraud team.

7. No misleading labeling

Google is very specific about what text can be placed around their ads. Their Terms of Service state: “Publishers may not label the ads with text other than ‘sponsored links’ or ‘advertisements.’ This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads.”

This is to keep visitors from becoming confused and barking up Google’s tree when they clicked on an ad that led to a porn site instead of the recipe site they were expecting to visit.

8. Avoid keyword spamming and other divisive tricks

You may be tempted to buy one of those “generates thousands of key-word rich pages in seconds” programs that are so popular these days but I’ll tell you this: Their days are numbered. Google is wise to such shenanigans and they will be hot on your trail. Other prohibited gimmicks include:

• ”Sneaky” page redirects that send a visitor off to a different site then they were expecting to visit.

• Multiple sites, domains, pages, etc. which have substantially duplicate content.

• Hidden text or links of any type.

• Excessive outbound links on any page. Google recommends no more than 100. I’d keep it way below that.

• And here is a nugget of wisdom straight from Google’s mouth: “Do not participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web as your website may be affected adversely by those links.

9. Don’t advertise anything on Google’s prohibited items list.

It’s a lot shorter lists than PayPal’s or eBay’s, but it includes a lot of the same stuff like hacking/cracking content, porn, illegal drugs, gambling sites, beer or hard alcohol (I guess wine is OK), weapons, and the other usual stuff.

10. And the 10th dumbest thing NOT to do with Google AdSense is to let the other nine things stop you from running an honest site that’s designed to make the most out of this very profitable opportunity that Google offers!

10 Adsense Tips for Maximum CTR

5:37 PM

1. You should make your Adsense ads look as a part of your web page
They shouldn't look like an Ad. People are negative to advertising. They search the internet for content not ads. Especially Banners have a less of 0,5% response. Their days are over. Imagine if you have an Adsense ad looking like the typical Banner with different colors. It will not be profitable.

2. Text ads are better than image ads
Like before, people are more responsive to text than images. In a way it is considered as a part of the online document and has higher CTR.

3. No Border ads
One of the best tricks is to erase the borders of Adsense ads and make them again having the same color with your website's background.

4. No other advertisements
The first reason is to be legitimate according to Google's Rules and the second more practical reason is that you do not want to distract your visitor's attention and go somewhere else without clicking your Adsense ads.

5. Placement
Even if you have the best Ad, people will not respond if they don't see it instantly. The best place to see the ad is the top of your web page and the next is aside your document's text. Visitors will click it more frequently since it will look like your text.

6. Traffic
Try to use legitimate ways of traffic. Some people use Google Adwords and other Pay per Click search engines. The problem here is to search very carefully for the right niche and keywords in order to make your campaigns profitable. Other ways is link popularity techniques like link exchange directories, software or even mass blog submission techniques. Don't use link farms and classifieds for that, because search engine's algorithms are extremely clever and they will ban your listings.

7. Do not rely on one website
Yes you can make money with one website but try to make as more as possible.

8. Relevant content is King
Articles are one of the best tactics to create huge websites that will be crawled by search engine's robots. Don't forget search engines exist to provide relevant content at first. One excellent resource to automate your article directory procedure is http://www.articleequalizer.com. You can create an article database in minutes which otherwise is time consuming and it would take you a week!

9. Use site maps
Google's site maps visit your site and crawl it much sooner that any other submission process. More information is here: http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps

10. Relevant ads
It's one of the most important factors for Adsense success. If the internet user can't find relevant ad in your page he or she won't click the ad. Would you act differently? So it's critical to create relevant resource for your web page.
